Pat Elynuik Hockey Development has been dedicated for the past several years to making a difference in the quality of player development in the hockey community. We focus on the successful criteria necessary to build successful players not only on the ice but off the ice as well.
We are effective in producing results for the development of players because we have played at the highest level. We know what it takes! Not only do we have the skills and experience...we have the knowledge. Through our programs, we are able to pass this on to our players.
Pat Elynuik was born and played the majority of his minor hockey in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. As a fifteen year old, Pat attended the much famed Notre Dame College in Wilcox, Saskatchewan, where he was then drafted into the bantam draft, playing 4 incredible years with the Prince Albert Raiders under the coaching of Terry Simpson and Rick Wilson.
In 1985, the Raiders won the Memorial Cup (what an experience that was!) Then, in 1986, Pat was drafted into the first round of the NHL Entry Draft, 8th overall by the Winnipeg Jets. By 1987, Pat was chosen to represent his country in the World Junior Championship in Czechlosvakia - we all remember the year of the brawl.
He finished off a successful and ever so enjoyable 10 year career in the National Hockey League with the Winnipeg Jets, Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lighting, and the Ottawa Senators.
Over the past 10 years of running the camp we are extremely proud of the players we have developed and continue to develop through our program.
